Loaded Meatloaf and Potato Casserole

Ingredients

* 1 package of flavored instant mashed potatoes

* 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef

* ¾ cup diced onion

* 1 ½ tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

* 1 cup bread crumbs

* 1 large egg

* ⅓ cup bacon bits

* ¾ cup chopped green onion

* 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, freshly shredded

Instructions

FIRST STEP:

Preheat the oven to 400*

Make the mashed potatoes according to package directions

SECOND STEP:

In a large bowl place the meat, onion, worcestershire sauce and bread crumbs

Mix together by hand to incorporate all, add the egg and mix again

THIRD STEP:

Place this mixture into the prepared baking dish

Top the meat mixture with the prepared mashed potatoes

FOURTH STEP:

Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meatloaf

Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the mashed potatoes

FIFTH STEP:

Sprinkle the bacon bits over the cheese

Sprinkle the cut green onion over the top with the crumbled bacon

SIXTH STEP:

Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil

Bake for 40 minutes at 400*

SEVENTH STEP:

Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes

Check to be certain that the meat is cooked completely

EIGHTH STEP:

Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes to set
